Oriental Dance
A space to celebrate yourself
This ancient dance was previously danced during the Pharaonic era and used in rituals in honor of the earth and fertility before the patriarchal religions were established in the 5th century.
Originally from Arabic countries, this form of expression has spread throughout the world. Millions of women discover within it Millions of women discover within it a way to reconnect with their bodies, and with this recognition, they share this dance ritual with others.
Oriental dance classes are open to women of all ages. A place of encounter, enjoyment and expression, where we explore distant rhythms and dance for and between us.

From an anthropological perspective, I enjoy explaining the origin of each gesture and the context of each dance. Our bodies draw waves of desert dunes, camel movements and through infinity symbols in our hips we evoke the creative energy and the power of our femininity.
Oriental dance workshops are a journey to the East, where free interpretation is encouraged to channel emotions and achive a more authentic, free, and spontaneous
movement.

Oriental Dance and Pregnancy
Belly dance workshops for pregnant women combine the experience with yoga and carnatic chants.
The support of Oriental dance movements in the pregnancy and childbirth process is currently being recognized. Adapted to the special characteristics of the pregnant woman, in the sessions, the woman-mother recognizes her new body that is changing. We become aware of the pelvis -door to the world-, we work with arms, chest and displacements. We are not only dancing with other women, also with our babies. Through sensual movements, pregnant women feel feminine amidst the physical and emotional changes, enhancing feelings of security and self-esteem.
In some countries such as Germany or Canada, Oriental dance is used in childbirth and postpartum preparation programs, as it facilitates awareness and self-confidence at the moment of birth, remembering that as women, we are fully prepared to give life, like our ancestors for centuries and centuries.
